Sassuolo have lost one of their last five matches

The club from the Mapei – Città del Tricolore played in Serie B in 2024/2025. However, they immediately returned to the top flight and finished eleventh with 49 points. During the summer, Alberto Aquilani replaced the departing Fabio Grosso as head coach and began with a 3-0 cup victory over Cesena. They then drew 1-1 with Frosinone in the same competition before winning on penalties. In Serie A, they started with a defeat to Atalanta but then beat Torino. They could have taken maximum points against Bologna, but eventually had to settle for a 2-2 draw after conceding shortly before the final whistle.

The Turin giants only managed to climb into fourth place at the very end of the season before last. However, in 2025/2026, even after changing managers, they could only finish sixth. This time, they began with clean-sheet victories over Frosinone and Parma. Against their old rivals Milan, they just managed to secure a 1-1 draw.

The former newcomers are currently scoring an average of 1.67 goals per match while conceding the same number. The stars from the Allianz Stadium are averaging 1.33 goals scored and just 0.33 conceded per game.
